Guest room was with coffee/tea makers, a writing desk, and iron and ironing board. The breakfast was very tasty and gorgeous, the best we had in Matlock...
The bed was pretty firm here.

Cereal, fruit, toast and croissants where available. The location was handy, unable to book a taxi from the station, its a plus.

Comfortable room, delicious breakfast, and fine views, with plenty of amenities like free Wi-Fi and parking available. The location is convenient for exploring nearby attractions such as the beautiful countryside.

Well-designed and new-fashioned rooms, absolutely gorgeous hotel. The staff was supper friendly and location was marvellous and stunning. Located 15 minutes' walk of the bus station. Friendly customer care, parking on site. Everything perfect.

Loved this hotel, had 2 lovely days here. The staff were pleasant and the facilities were really comfortable. I had an enjoyable breakfast with tea or coffee fresh juice. Nice place to stay in Matlock, if compared to other hotels...

The Derwent Suite was a lovely room with lovely views, and we enjoyed relaxing on the outdoor patio, sipping coffee while taking in the scenery.
The only downside was the steep walk into Matlock, which can be tiring after a long day of exploring.

Fine views from the sitting room overlooking Matlock.
Finding The Gables was a challenge due to the steep hill and closed access road. Parking was inconvenient, being a trek away and quite tight to navigate. The experience would be daunting for those with mobility issues.

The gables bed & breakfast was amazin! The hosts, sue & john, were super friendly and welcomed us with tea and cake. The full english breakfast was delish and set us up for our day of exploring. Our double room was really comfy, and the views from the patio were amazing. They have great info about local walks and things to do too!
the steep walk down to matlock can be a workout, and parking was a bit tricky with limited spaces.

Had an amazing time relaxing on the sun terrace and enjoying cozy evenings in the garden. The full breakfast spread every morning was simply delightful! Just be prepared for a bit of a climb when you head back after a day out exploring.

This place is a strong match for resting at all in Matlock with good price value. The cleanliness of the accommodations really stood out and made for a comfortable stay. Make sure to be cautious when driving due to the steep slopes around the area.

Cozy stay with amazing views
Spent 3 nights here and it was fab! Sue and John were super friendly. The breakfasts were freshly made and delish-loved the option of in-room breakfast! Our room was small but very cozy. Just be ready for a bit of a hike into Matlock. It can be a workout!
